A classic view of Porthgain Harbour, much admired and painted by artist. I wanted to get starkness of the harbourmaster’s building nestled in to the rock face and show the fade in colour from deep open water through to the shallow safety of the harbour with the swell just wrapping gently around the wall with all of it’s power removed. The red brick structures are slowly being reclaimed by nature and I always think of the hanging gardens of Babylon for some reason!The reproductions of this painting really capture the beautiful green and blue hues of the original art work.
